2019 Blue Cow Cup
New additions to the ski racing world are set to make their debut as the Blue Cow Cup continues to serve as an important platform for all junior skiers to either test-the-waters of racing or show the others how it's done!
Competing in Alpine and Skier-cross, this event (and a hand-full of others like it) have proved to be the testing ground where nearly ALL of Australia's National team honed their skills and/or added the first silver to the trophy cabinet.
On August 3 and 4, courses across the resort area will play host to the age categories of Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Juniors to test or develop their racing skills and a new generation of youth will step onto the scene with glory in their sights.
When: 3 & 4 August.
Schedule:
- Saturday 3 August - Giant Slalom + Night Paralell Slalom
- Sunday 4 August - Skier Cross
Who: Junior Ski Racers.
Age divisions;
- U10 (Born 2013-2010)
- U12 (Born 2009-2008)
- U14 (Born 2007-2006)
- U16 (Born 2005-2004)
- Junior (born 2003-1997)
No racing license in required, but a SSA SnowID / SSA Snowracer membership (free) is recommended.
Proposed program- locations and formats will be confirmed the week prior to competition- please check the event web site.
- All events will be held on Blue Terrain- athletes must be strong intermediate skiers to compete.
- Bib collection will be at the top of the course prior to inspection for each event.
Tickets: Competitors must have a valid lift ticket (one per competitor, non-transferable) for each day of the event.
Waivers: All competitors must agree to the waiver and release online during registration.
Helmet: Helmet use is mandatory for all participants and volunteers during all race events.
