Free Snowracer APP launched

Ski and Snowboard Australia (SSA) have launched a new and free Snowracer APP, creating a one-stop-shop for everything related to snowsports competitions of all levels right in the palm of your hand.
The Snowracer APP provides easy access to live timing and live results with direct links to Snowracer's Event HQ, which lists Ski and Snowboard events happening throughout the season at Australian Ski Resorts.
Perhaps the most fun (and possibly annoying) feature of the app is the “virtual cowbell” which by shaking the phone provides an authentic sounding cowbell noise, providing the perfect way to cheer on from the sidelines!
SSA members can use the SnowID lookup button to locate their very own SnowID or an individual can register as a Snowracer right from their phone. The app also provides users with live weather updates and links to snow cams from all the Australian snow resorts.
Ski and Snowboard Australia Chief Executive Officer Michael Kennedy says the development of the Snowracer APP is in direct response to the positive feedback from last season and provides even easier access for individuals, family and friends to engage with Snowsport competition.
“The Snowracer APP is an extension of our already successful Snowracer website, which is designed to give our more than 25,000 participants along with their friends and family, access to live timing, scoring and events.
“We want as many people to have access to the APP so we have invested in the technology to offer it free to the public through Apple and Google Play stores.
“Features include up and coming events, live timed races, live times scored events, snowracer ID lookup and much more, including a trusty cowbell to help people get their own events underway.
“There is plenty on offer in the Snowracer APP for the whole family and we look forward to extending our offerings as it continues to grow,” he said.
